Congratulations and welcome! We are so excited to have you join us.  As a member of the American Honors program at CCS, here are a few next steps:

1. Register for a CCS placement test – both reading/writing & math 
   1. SCC students, sign up here as soon as possible. Spots fill up quickly.
   2. SFCC students, please sign up at the testing center. 
2. Attend American Honors Orientation
   1. A full day of orientation, meeting your fellow classmates, and working with your advisor on your course plan–more details to follow!
3. Check that your financial aid information is up-to-date.
   1. We strongly suggest you visit the “Financial Aid Portal” at SFCC or SCC to check on the current status of your financial aid.  Details about missing application information, and award and loan information, will be available once processed as well.

An honors advisor will be in touch shortly regarding your class schedule. As an American Honors student, you do not need to register for courses at New Student Orientation. Your course registration will be handled separately in the upcoming months. No need to worry about courses filling up as your courses are for American Honors students only!
