Getting Started...
Here are the important steps to get you fully enrolled in the American Honors program at CCS.
Step 1: Log in to Quad
- Important: Meet with your American Honors advisor. (Schedule your meeting on Quad)
- Complete the “Quad 101” Orientation Course
- Sign up and complete your Tech Check Appointment (sign up here)
Step 2: Prove College Readiness (First year students only)
- Ensure you’ve completed your CCS application
- Confirm your CC ID # with your American Honors admissions officer
- Review CCS's test score placement criteria (SFCC / SCC)
- Sign up to take the Math & English Placement Tests or submit supporting documents to the college's Testing Center to prove college-readiness. (Compass Math 77; Compass Reading 80 & Writing 76)
- Consider taking advantage of the American Honors math & English prep series (you can access these courses on Quad)
Step 3: Get Oriented
- Attend an American Honors new student orientation (register here)
- New to CCS? Attend CCS’s new student orientation (Register by calling the Testing Center)
- SFCC:
OFFICE - Gateway Building, Room 104 (30-104)TESTING LAB - Gateway Building, Room 103 (30-103)

- Attend an American Honors Admitted Students Event (optional, but we'll send you info via email)
Step 4: Confirm your class schedule
- Register for courses on your myBigFoot portal online.
- Verify your schedule is correct
Step 5: Plan to Pay for College
- Financial Planning Conversation (email Erika Bynon)
- Pay Tuition (Deadline: January 8, 2016)
