How to apply for a program scholarship from the American Honors Foundation:
- Complete an application to the American Honors program. The application is free - just make sure you have your test scores & transcript ready.
- Select the box on the final page of the application to indicate that you "are interested in applying for scholarships available for the American Honors program."
- Check your inbox for an email from one of our Admissions Officers. The email will contain a link to a short scholarship application & essay.
- Complete the scholarship application & essay. Make sure to use the same email address that you used to complete your application to the American Honors program.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants who submit a completed application BEFORE 5/1/2015
Program Overview
Honors Academics
- Small, seminar-style classes are discussion driven with minimal lectures. All classes are led by selected honors faculty.
- Honors credits are designed to transfer to count towards a bachelor's degree.
- Honors classes are capped at 25 students, and focus on real-world applications of course material.
Simplified Transfer Process
- Step-by-step guided instruction on every aspect of the transfer process from a transfer advisor.
- American Honors’ network of four-year schools actively recruits program graduates: Whitworth University is a member of the network.
- Some four-year partners offer transfer acceptance letters to American Honors students, contingent upon successfully completing the program and final GPA standing.
