We are pleased to announce that American Honors LIVE is available globally LIVE through our partnership with McKendree University. American Honors LIVE is an online version of American Honors that is available globally. Students study online from their home country and earn an honors diploma from McKendree University. Each online course has a LIVE component delivered via Zoom.

American Honors LIVE students can complete their associates degree online or come to the United States after or or two semesters to: 

1. Complete American Honors at one of our 3 campuses in the United States, or
2. Transfer American Honors credits to any university in the United States.

American Honors is pleased to partner with Beijing Vantage Education Technology to offer American Honors LIVE to students throughout the People's Republic of China.

American Honors LIVE is offerd with conditional admission to one of the prestigious universities in the American Honors Transfer network.

Benefits

American Honors LIVE provides you with a world-class education now and a world of opportunities in the future. American Honors LIVE students:

  • Take honors-level classes from an American Honors partner;
  • Earn an honors degree from the Community College of Philadelphia, Union County College, or Golden Gate University in San Francisco after completing at least the second year of the program on campus; and
  • Receive a conditional admission letter to either NYU or the University of Rochester after arriving at one of the American Honors locations in the United States.

American Honors LIVE is the first step to a world-class education at a nationally ranked university.


Coming to the United States

When you are ready to come to the United States, you will have two options:

  1. Continue at an American Honors location
  2. Transfer to a four-year university

Continue American Honors On Campus

When you are ready to travel to the United States, you may complete the American Honors program by arriving at one of the American Honors locations and continuing your studies.

As long as you earn a B or better in each of your online classes, your American Honors coach will be able to help you transfer your American Honors LIVE credits to the American Honors location of your choice.

  • Arriving at a community college in the United States and continuing your studies.
  • Arriving at Union County College, the Community College of Philadelphia, or Golden Gate University to complete American Honors. As long as you earn a B or better in each of your online classes, your American Honors coach will be able to help you transfer your American Honors LIVE credits to the American Honors location of your choice.

Transfer to Your Four-Year University

Students do not need to finish the American Honors program to transfer to a four-year university. Credits earned at any of the American Honors locations can be transferred to any university in the United States subject to the transfer policies of the receiving university. In general, up to 60 credits can be transferred from a community college to a four-year university as long as:

  • The student earns a grade of B or better for the course, and
  • The course is part of the degree program the student progresses to at the four-year university.

Student Support

All American Honors students have an American Honors coach with whom they meet weekly. Students who start American Honors LIVE will meet with their coach using Zoom. The coach will:

  1. Help the student successfully study online.
  2. Ensure that the student is enrolled in the correct classes to facilitate a transfer to the student's chosen degree program at a four-year university.
  3. Help the student with their transfer application either during the first year online or after completing the honors program in year two.

FAQ

When can I transfer my credits from American Honors? Students can transfer from American Honors to any university in the United States. Your American Honors coach will help you with your transfer application.

What do I need to study online? To study online, you will need a laptop and a stable internet connection.

How much does it cost? Full-time students pay $7,500 per semester, including tuition and program fees (15 credits for the semester).

What if I complete part of the American Honors program but cannot get a visa to travel to the United States? You can either complete your American Honors degree online or transfer your American Honors credits from Amercian Honors to any university.

Will I have class in the middle of the night? Courses will be taught at times between 8:30 AM and 10 PM in your local time zone.

What if I want to go to an on-campus location of American Honors instead? Once you are able to process your visa and travel to the United States, you can transfer your credits to any American Honors locations as long as you earned a grade of B or better in each course.
