Biography: Emily Watson is an Assistant Professor of English at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana and earned her MFA in creative nonfiction writing at West Virginia University. Before teaching college English, she worked at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indiana Writers’ Center, and the Indiana Department of Education.  Her essays have been published in AGNI, River Teeth, Gulf Coast, Bellingham Review, and American Tensions: Literature of Identity and the Search for Social Justice.  She lives in Indianapolis with poet Matt Anserello and their son.
