Nick's academic journey toward American Honors started by attending a local community college as a non-traditional business student. However, his experiences in community college caused him to re-assess his original path, and with nearly 60 business credits attained, he changed his major to History & Education just one semester prior to transferring to Rutgers.
While at Rutgers, Nick focused his historical studies on the history of the American frontier, while his pedagogical studies focused on diversity in the classroom: how race, gender, orientation and other variables affect the design and implementation of curricula in the classroom. In addition to these studies, Nick was also a copy editor for the Rutgers University World Affairs Review (RUWAR), and a full-time member of the Rutgers United Musicians Guild.
Currently, Nick is studying in Hofstra University's Higher Education Leadership & Policy Studies program, where he hopes to earn his M.S. Ed. degree.
