A Bit About Katie

As the Manager of Student Services and a form Honors Advisor, Katie is engaged in issues of college access and retention, college success skills, and student leadership. Prior to joining American Honors, Katie served as Assistant Director of The Summer College Immersion Program serving KIPP and Cristo Rey students at Georgetown University, where she supported college application and success to a cohort of 50 students. Katie also spent two years as a Corps member in Teach for America and taught English, Reading, and Writing to 7th and 9th graders at a low income charter school in Phoenix, Arizona. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from Georgetown University (2011) with a degree in Government, Justice and Peace Studies, and English, Katie earned a Master's Degree of Secondary Education from Arizona State University in 2013.
